Official! José Yépez ratified as sports manager of Cardenales de Lara

The sports board of Cardenales de Lara of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP), ratified José Yépez as sports manager for another year.

The information was announced by the Twilight Group through a statement released by the press department.

“Happy, committed, I assume this with great humility, like every year trying to lead the team to a final and a championship,” said Yépez, LVBP press review

“Already working for that two-time championship. We have the right team, the desire and the right people to lead us to that,” he said.

Yépez, 43, has been in office for nine campaigns, during which time Cardenales has always advanced to the postseason, with seven finals and three crowns, making him the LVBP's most successful franchise in the most recent decade.

“I see the team very well for the coming years (...) Juan Yépez, (prospects Samuel) Zavala and (Damiano) Palmegiani, both Contreras (William and Luis), are expected to play. I think the team is too compact to get to the title,” he added.
