Venezuelan athlete Naryury Pérez won an Olympic diploma in the 81 kg weightlifting category during her participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
This was reported on his Threads account by the Minister of Popular Power for Youth and Sports, Mervin Maldonado.
The weightlifter started with 114 kg and an energy of 145 kg, for a total of 259 kg, to place in the eighth place and finish in the top 10 of the best in the world, in the highest event in the sport.
With this result, Naryury Pérez has won the third weightlifting diploma for Venezuela, after Anyelin Venegas (fourth -59 kg) and Keydomar Vallenilla (eighth -89 kg).
The other Venezuelan athletes who won the Olympic diploma were: Yohandri Granado from Taekwondo -58 kg; Rosa Rodríguez from Athletics, in hammer throwing; Raiber Rodríguez, Greco-Roman Wrestling -60kg and the men's Sword Fencing team
