The Venezuelan Yohandri Granado obtained an Olympic Diploma at the highest event in the sport, in the Taekwondo discipline in the -58 kg category.

The information was released by the Minister of Popular Power for Youth and Sports, Mervin Maldonado, through a post on his account on the social network X.

After competing in the repechage, the Venezuelan taekwondo player ranked seventh in the world.

The Venezuelan competed in the repechage against Frenchman Cyrian Ravet in the -58 kg, a match in which a final score of 2-0 (2-1 and 6-2) fell.

“Congratulations to the man from Caracas for this achievement, we are proud of you,” the Venezuelan Olympic Committee said in a message posted on its social networks.

This is the fourth Olympic Diploma for Venezuela, in addition to that obtained by the fencing team, seventh place in the sword category; Rosa Rodríguez, eighth place in hammer throwing; Raiber Rodríguez, fifth place in Greco-Roman wrestling and Joselyn Brea, sixth in the 1,500 flat meters.
