The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) announced that it will increase its crude oil production by more than half a million barrels a day, in order to contribute to the stabilization of world oil market prices.

The eight member nations of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC+) have agreed to increase their crude oil production by 547,000 barrels per day starting in September 2025.

This measure completes the reinstatement of the 2.2 million barrels that were recalled in 2023, according to information published by VTV.

The decision was taken at a virtual meeting by oil-producing countries.

Experts point out that this is the sixth consecutive increase, which reflects a change in the group's policy that seeks to recover participation in the oil market.
