Open call for 67th edition of the Arturo Michelena Salon

In the city of Valencia, Carabobo state, the call for participation in the 67th edition of the Arturo Michelena Hall to be held at the Museum of Culture was opened. The reception of works takes place from Monday, April 7 to May 19, 2025.
The call is open to all visual artists, photographers, sculptors, filmmakers and audiovisual producers in the country, as well as to foreign creators with more than five years of residence in Venezuela. Interested parties must submit works of their individual or collective authorship, which have not been previously exhibited and have been made between 2023, 2024 and 2025. Each artist may submit only one work per category.
The competing categories are two-dimensional works (such as painting, drawing, photography, collages, graphic arts, graphic design and textiles), three-dimensional (sculpture, assemblages, ceramics and other fire arts) and new media (installations, video art, digital art, body arts). The dimensions allowed for two-dimensional works are up to three meters by two meters, while three-dimensional ones must be adjusted to a maximum of two meters by two meters by two meters and not exceed 100 kilograms in weight in any of their presentations.
The selected pieces must be executed by the artist himself, according to the schedule established by the Organizing Committee. The works will be received from Monday to Friday, during office hours, in the following spaces: Carabobo Museum of Culture (Valencia), Mario Abreu Contemporary Art Museum (Maracay), National Art Gallery (Caracas), Barquisimeto Museum (Lara), Zulia Museum of Contemporary Art (Maracaibo), Choir Museum (Coro), Museo de los Llanos (Barinas), Museum of Colonial Art of Mérida, Museo de Calabozo (Guárico).
