Operation Caracas Sonríe incorporates a new approach to the Roof Replacement Plan in Sucre parish

The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, reported that the Roof Replacement Plan is progressing in the Propatria sector, Sucre parish, as part of the 79th approach to Operation Caracas Smile.

Meléndez explained that the team set up a camp in La Casa del Obrero, where they reviewed together with community leaders the social cartography linked to the development of the plan. “This deployment benefits two communes and two communal circuits, in coordination with organized Popular Power,” he said.

He indicated that the actions are being carried out jointly with the Mayor's Office of Caracas, following the scheme applied in the 79 approaches carried out to date. “This plan protects families who live in the most vulnerable housing in each sector,” he said.

Crews continue to verify prioritized areas to ensure the continuity of the program in Sucre parish.
