Operation Decent and Safe Clearance maintains work at OPPE 25 in La Guaira

Under the operation Decent and Safe Clearance, a crew of approximately 160 participants, mostly residents of OPPE 25, maintains search activities, as well as the removal of debris and waste in the Tanaguarena sector of the Caraballeda parish, La Guaira state.

After 13 days of work, one of the largest crews of the Ministry of People's Power of Public Works is deployed on continuous 24-hour days to carry out the corresponding tasks.

During the first few hours of the contingency, the prompt action of this group, in close coordination with national and international brigade members, made it possible to rescue some 40 people alive.

Currently, with the support of heavy machinery in the field, the technical staff and volunteers of the rescue brigades are focusing all their efforts on the Decent and Safe Clearance Operation, as well as on the location of fatalities, with the firm intention of responding to affected families.
