This Thursday, June 20, a sector of the Venezuelan opposition candidates reaffirmed their willingness to peace, with the signing of an agreement to respect the electoral results of the July 28 elections.

After the signing of the agreement, the candidate for the Pencil party, Antonio Ecarri, highlighted his support for the National Electoral Council (CNE) for the initiative of this agreement.

In addition, the candidate for the Democratic Action (AD) party, Luis Eduardo Martínez, specified the importance of participation in the electoral process of July 28. “I signed the document under the conviction that the electoral process will be exemplary,” he said.

For his part, the candidate of Hope for Change, Javier Bertucci, stressed that “today all of us who are competing for the presidency of the Republic must be constitutional and must seek an electoral and peaceful path”.

He also extended an invitation to electoral candidates to make concrete proposals to Venezuelans. At the same time, he reaffirmed his trust in the Venezuelan Electoral System.

In the same way, the candidate for the Arepa party, Daniel Ceballos, emphasized that the signing of the agreement strengthens the institution of voting.

It should be noted that the candidates Edmundo González and Enrique Márquez did not attend the signing of the agreement to respect the electoral results.
