Over the weekend, the country's more than 5,300 communal circuits were deployed in popular assemblies, with the objective of consolidating a strategic agenda to strengthen the defense for the release of constitutional president Nicolás Maduro Moros and the first female combatant, Cilia Flores, as reported by the deputy to the National Assembly for the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Juan Carlos Alemán.

During an interview with the program Café en la Mañana, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), Alemán explained that this day is part of the popular offensive promoted by the PSUV to strengthen national sovereignty from the grassroots structures.

“We have launched a popular offensive to defend President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores. This is a national deployment: the five thousand 336 communal circuits were under consultation and debate from Friday 23 to Sunday, January 25 (...) they addressed three generative questions that have to do with how to preserve peace in the national territory, what actions to take to guarantee the freedom of President Nicolás Maduro and the first lady and how to improve governance,” he said.

He also indicated that permanent mobilization stands out among the strategies that have emerged, as well as actions to preserve the peace of the country. In this regard, he noted that the proposals will be systematized by the national management of the PSUV and then presented to the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez. “This is the Party's contribution, a contribution that comes from our basic structures, from what ordinary people think and feel,” he said.

In the same way, the parliamentarian stressed that “all these things are important to highlight because they demonstrate that awareness, maturity and the strength that our people have to turn pain, sadness and indignation into tools of struggles to consolidate the Bolivarian Revolution.”

On the other hand, Alemán indicated that 2026 will be a year of offensive and popular management, focused on the defense of democracy, the freedom of President Maduro and the improvement of the living conditions of the Venezuelan people. Therefore, he mentioned that the first popular consultation of this year, scheduled for next March 8, “is a clear demonstration that we are still in Government, in Revolution and in progress; nothing is going to stop us.”
