Oscar Rivas: Documentary Heartbeats Under the Rubble highlights union after earthquakes

The documentary Heartbeats Under the Rubble demonstrated the empathy and unity of Venezuelans during the rescue efforts following the double earthquake of last June 24, said its director, Oscar Rivas, during his participation in the program Con Silva de Noche, on Venezolana de Televisión.
“It demonstrated what we Venezuelans are made of, of the empathy that we all have, the unity that existed when it came to working: firefighters, police, civilians, soldiers. There was this massive union and it is expressed in this documentary with everyone's efforts,” said Rivas.
The filmmaker pointed out that the film had a great impact on the press during its premiere, on Thursday 24, three months after the catastrophe. He also reiterated that the work honors all Venezuelans who risked their lives to save the victims of the earthquakes in La Guaira.
Rivas highlighted the work of Saúl Torres in camera and photography, and thanked the composer and singer Enrique Barrios for the incidental music and the main theme of the documentary.
