Padrino López: The FANB will guarantee peace and order at all costs during 28-J

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) will guarantee peace and order at all costs during the presidential election on July 28, said Defense Minister G/J Vladimir Padrino López.

“The people will go out to vote and will achieve peace and order in the streets. The people will go out to vote and get in their voting center and get cash from the FANB, from the Militia, it is the FANB the human face that will fulfill the task of safeguarding all electoral and technological material and electoral infrastructure. As Bolívar said: Peace is the daughter of victory and this will be a victorious event for the whole country,” said the senior military officer during the deployment of the personnel who will participate in the Plan República.

On the other hand, he rejected that “militarologists” tried to assign to the FANB the task of validating the electoral results, when that is a task that concerns exclusively the National Electoral Council.

“We have seen how, through the media and social networks, they are trying to say that if an alleged fraud occurs or not, it could be stopped by the FANB, that is, they are trying to say that the arbitration that is based on the CNE they want to transfer it, the ex officio thinkers, to the FANB and this cannot be and will not be the case. The FANB has its functions and tasks defined, we are not the ones who are going to say whether or not there is an alleged fraud,” he stressed.

In the same way, he repudiated that from the right, through the media and social networks, there is an attempt to build a virtual reality with which you want to replace the democratic principles of Venezuela, which reside in the vote, with polls. “They intend to replace democracy with polling to justify acts of violence based on alleged fraud,” he stressed.
