The Information Office for Palestinian Prisoners denounced the inhumane conditions suffered by captives in the Israeli prison of Ramla, where they suffer from hunger, torture, medical neglect and religious violations as part of a systematic campaign of repression.

The report details that the inmates of the Rakavet section have been living under extreme conditions of deprivation since October 7, 2023, especially those from the Gaza Strip. The reported practices include lack of food, repeated beatings and daily humiliation.

The policy of repression includes prolonged isolation, prohibition of collective and individual prayer, and the confiscation of copies of the Koran, which constitutes a flagrant violation of the religious freedom and human rights of prisoners.

According to testimonies, the cases are alarming of physical deterioration, and they also report that a prisoner lost more than 10 kilograms and suffers from fungal infections without receiving treatment, in addition to having been tortured during interrogations.
