The Bolivarian Government, which recognizes the importance of the union between governments and peoples of the world in the fight against fascism, organized the International Anti-Fascist World Festival for a New World at the beginning of 2025.
This event brought together more than 2,000 national and international participants at the Simon Bolivar Convention Center in La Carlota, in Caracas.
Arnelio Brenes, representative of the Kuna indigenous people of Panama, who participated in the festival, said he was impressed by the great economic steps that Venezuela has taken.
“I came to Venezuela in 2018 and from then to the present day, in other words, in 2025, the transformation has been very great. How beautiful Venezuela is today!” , Brenes said.
It also predicted great economic, social and educational growth for Venezuela. “The great solidarity that Venezuela offers at an educational level with the peoples of the world is worthy of example, it is clear that many are unaware that they have a school called Salvador Allende where many brothers and sisters have the opportunity to come and study,” he said.
Regarding the swearing in of President Nicolás Maduro for a new constitutional term, he asserted that it exceeded his expectations. “The international delegates have realized that there is inclusion and participation on the part of the Venezuelan people, on the part of the indigenous movement, and we are truly satisfied with the pronouncement with his speech and with everything we have seen,” he added.
The representative of the Kuna indigenous people of Panama, said that they have a different reality than what is seen in the international media. “This is a country to advance, grow and transform,” he said.
“We must mobilize the international sector that we are here to demonstrate reality, a reality that is very different from what the puppet media and international pseudo influencers who are only trying to demonstrate a contrary reality,” he said.
He added that after the inauguration of President Nicolás Maduro, the opposition is losing belligerence among its supporters as a whole.
“The Bolivarian Revolution has demonstrated such great mobilizing power of the Venezuelan people that in the end the national and international campaign that the opposition has waged before and after the swearing in of President Nicolás Maduro has been just a media show that currently has no belligerence, has no power,” he said.
He reiterated that the opposition has lost such great belligerence in the media, that if they enter the posts, in videos, regarding the media show that María Corina Machado and Edmundo González have done, the comments are already against them and in favor of the Venezuelan people.
As for the festival, Brenes said that he has a phrase that means a lot to him: “when imperialism loses, they shout failure and denounce fraud”. In that sense, he argued that this is a clear oppression on the part of imperialism in the midst of media campaigns.
He emphasized that fascism only seeks wars, inequality, fractions movements and mainly exploits natural resources for the benefit of its economy, as it has done with indigenous peoples.
He stressed that since the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution with Hugo Chávez, the role that indigenous peoples have played and that they play in Venezuela has been truly recognized.
Brenes said that Venezuela is a very beautiful country, the warmth of its people, its music, its people, its infrastructure. “It would be a strategic stop to stop here to learn about the great diversity of organized indigenous peoples that exist in this country,” he said.
