The Venezuelan Parliamentary Group of the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament (Parlatino-Venezuela) categorically rejected the renewal of the Barak Obama decree of 2015, declaring Venezuela an unusual and extraordinary threat to U.S. territory.

The president of Parlatino-Venezuela, Deputy Ángel Rodríguez, questioned this decision of the President of the United States, Joe Biden, considering that what he seeks is to justify the constant aggressions against the people of Venezuela.

“The unprecedented and senseless Executive Order 13,692 of 2015 is a criminal action that seeks to pressure the Bolivarian and revolutionary Government led by President Nicolás Maduro,” Rodríguez said.

In the opinion of the parliamentarian, nine years have passed since that disastrous Executive Order. “The coercive and unilateral measures imposed on Venezuela continue to directly affect the people,” he said. “We are not a threat, we are a sovereign country with a legitimate government, elected by the firm will of a people who want to live in peace,” he concluded.
