PDVSA restores fuel supply in La Guaira state

The vice president of National Petroleum Trade and Supply of Venezuela (PDVSA), Juan Carlos Díaz, reported that fuel supply has been restored in the state of La Guaira, the state most affected by the double earthquake of last June 24.
According to a report by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), Díaz specified that four service stations have been reactivated in the state and explained that eight fuel stations are active, “guaranteeing safe supply to users.”
The official pointed out that the Catia La Mar distribution plant is working normally, as a key point for shipping to the coast.
In addition, the vice president highlighted that they carried out an audit that made it possible to certify the stability of the structure in the distribution centers.
“This regular flow has been consolidated thanks to corrective maintenance work and the progressive work carried out by technical crews to completely remove the operational effects detected at the points of direct attention to the public,” he said.
He also explained that the activation of a priority channel for land transport made it possible to sustain “stable inventories and speed up the delivery of essential supplies”.
He also indicated that PDVSA carries out an exhaustive monitoring of supply centers, in accordance with the plan for the inspection and evaluation of the national energy infrastructure.
