This Tuesday, the First Pedagogical Congress of Bolivarian Teachers began across the country, an initiative whose main objective is: to build collective proposals for all education professionals in Venezuela from a Bolivarian perspective.

This was reported by the Deputy Minister for Education, Alejandro López, who conducted a videoconference with teachers from all over the country to explain the phases of the congress that will later receive the proposals that originate.

According to a press release from the Education portfolio, López explained that the initiative revolves around the debate on 15 challenges for the quality of education: School access and permanence, full compliance with schedules, completing the teaching staff, continuous pedagogical innovation, deepening of the Bolivarian ideology, management and administrative strengthening, family participation, artificial intelligence, social networks, neurodivergence, strengthening of the educational community, school culture of peace and coexistence, environmental education and sustainable development, productivity for economic sovereignty, internationalism, and solidarity in education.

The congress has a first phase that includes simultaneous debate in all educational institutions. Each school and high school will select three teachers to continue with a municipal stage, where workshops and thematic tables will be held. Then comes the selection of two spokespersons per thematic axis for each municipality.

A subsequent state phase establishes a meeting of municipal spokespersons based on thematic axes, as well as the adjustment and deepening of educational proposals.

Finally, the national one is the consolidation of the proposals in a document. “The national agenda for educational transformation is defined,” said the Deputy Minister.

The Pedagogical Congress of Bolivarian Teachers and Teachers will be held during the months of April, May and June, López explained.
