From the wall of Petare, Miranda state, the
first vice-president of the National Assembly (AN), Pedro Infante, stressed that today
all the people of Venezuela are raising their voices to denounce the aggression of the
United States (USA) against our Homeland.
“We are with the People of Miranda mobilized
and concentrated here, in an expression of anti-imperialist protest, in the face of
what has been a gross and rude aggression by the North American imperialism of
President Donald Trump against national sovereignty, the Constitution and the People; from here
we express our complaint,” he said.
He also emphasized that Venezuelans
today are also demanding in the streets the life faith of President Nicolás Maduro
and First Combatant Cilia Flores. “They were criminally kidnapped
by U.S. military forces in an incursion against our people,”
he said, recalling that four states, specifically, La Guaira, Caracas,
Aragua and Miranda, were subject to bombing and direct aggression.
He pointed out that the objective of the United States
has always been to steal Venezuela's natural resources, and they have demonstrated this
in their most recent statements in which he points out that “they want to control
energy, resources and make the American continent, of what they
call their living space, to have all governments kneeling down.”
For this reason, he urged the Peoples and
Parliaments of the world to denounce and also speak out “as today North American
imperialism violates the international legal order, international
law, the Charter of the United Nations and the sovereignty of the Peoples”.
In the same way, he called on the People and all street structures and communities to become active and remain mobilized with great awareness of the situation that the country is currently going through. “Everyone knows what they have to do (...) activate major states, coordinate and communicate more and prepare us for the defense of the Homeland, of our sovereignty.”
