The member of the Board of Directors of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Pedro Infante, criticized the actions of the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Kamla Persad-Bissessar, for supporting the aggression maintained by the United States government against Venezuela.

He stressed that the Trinidadian president calls for violence in the Caribbean. In that regard, he emphasized that politically, Persad-Bissessar has assumed the Monroe doctrine as his political doctrine.

He stressed that Venezuela has been a nation in solidarity with Caribbean countries and argued that in any country in the world, supporting espionage operations against a sovereign nation constitutes a legitimate reason to declare a person “non grata”.

This was stated in his speech on the occasion of the mobilization on a national scale in defense of peace and sovereignty in the face of threats from the United States, and in absolute support of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, in an agenda prepared and convened by the PSUV.

Infante stated that Persad-Bissessar has lent its territory as a platform for intelligence operations by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

He also assured that he starts from the aggressions of the United States governments against free Caribbean nations to subject them to their financial pretensions and interests.

He reiterated that the aggressions of US imperialism against Venezuela are to illegally appropriate the natural resources that Venezuela possesses.

He denounced that the actions of the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago attack the national sovereignty and independence of the Homeland of Simon Bolivar.

He also recalled the role played by the CIA in the coup against Commander Hugo Chávez, on April 11, 2002, and denounced that since then a systematic policy of hostilities, conspiracy and espionage against Venezuela has been maintained by the United States government.
