Penitentiary Ministry released 99 citizens who were deprived of their liberty for hate violence

The Ministry of People's Power for the Prison Service reported that 99 citizens have been released after evaluations carried out by the Judicial System, in application of the precautionary measures provided for by law.
These people had been deprived of their liberty for acts of violence and hate speech that occurred after the elections of July 28, 2024.
These decisions are part of the initiatives of the constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, aimed at guaranteeing human rights and promoting dialogue mechanisms.
The Venezuelan State maintains its commitment to guarantee legal and comprehensive treatment to persons deprived of their liberty and will continue to carry out actions in favor of peace, justice and the defense of sovereignty.

The Ministry of People's Power for the Penitentiary Service informs the country about the recent releases of citizens who were deprived of their liberty for their participation in acts of violence and incitement to hatred, following the election day of July 28, 2024, actions aimed at ignoring the sovereign will of the Venezuelan people and undermining the peace of the Nation.
In this context, the National Government and the Justice System have taken the decision to evaluate case by case and to grant, in accordance with the law, precautionary measures, which have allowed the release of 99 citizens, as a concrete expression of the State's commitment to peace, dialogue and justice.
These actions are part of the ongoing efforts promoted by the Constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, aimed at guaranteeing unrestricted respect for human rights, even for those compatriots who, being victims of political and media manipulation, attacked sovereignty, institutional stability and peaceful coexistence.
Even in a scenario marked by imperialist siege and multilateral aggressions against the country, the Venezuelan State guarantees all those deprived of their liberty treatment based on respect, legality and comprehensive care. The Bolivarian Government will continue to work firmly and responsibly for peace, justice and the defense of national sovereignty.
