People of Guárico prepare for the defense of the Homeland in the Bolivarian Shield Exercise

In compliance with the instruction of the head of state, Nicolás Maduro, to remain mobilized in defense of the Homeland, this Saturday in the state of Guárico, the Hugo Chávez Bolivarian Shield Exercise was held in a civic-military-police union.

According to information published on the Instagram account of the regional president, José Vásquez, this activity seeks to “strengthen the unity and preparation of our troops, emphasizing that the defense of the homeland is a shared responsibility between civilians and the military.”

I also reiterate that in Venezuela we are ready to counter the actions of imperialist enemies, who constantly “attempt to undermine our autonomy and values.”

Vásquez reiterated the commitment of the entity's institutions to the defense of the homeland and assured that “we are prepared for any circumstance that challenges our national integrity.”
