The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, expressed solidarity this Tuesday with his Brazilian counterpart, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, after being declared a “persona non grata” by the Zionist government of Israel for rejecting the genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and comparing it to the Nazi holocaust of Adolf Hitler.

“I express my full solidarity with President Lula of Brazil. There is genocide in Gaza and thousands of civilian children, women and elderly people are being cowardly murdered. Lula has only told the truth and the truth is defended or barbarism will annihilate us,” said the Colombian president through his account on the social network X.

In this regard, Petro urged the entire Latin American region to “unite so that violence in Palestine ceases immediately”, on the part of the Zionist regime in Gaza.

He noted that the ruling of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Israel “must generate application and consequences in the diplomatic relations of all countries of the world.”
