Pipers and Crocodiles secured their ticket to the postseason of the Professional Basketball Super League

Gaiteros del Zulia and Cocodrilos de Caracas became the first two teams qualified for the postseason of the Professional Basketball Super League (SPB) 2026.

At the start of the eighth week of the SPB, Guaiquerís de Margarita, Globetrotters, Marinos de Anzoátegui, Piratas de La Guaira and Centaurs de Bolívar also won.

In the United Nations Park, Crocodiles defeated Diablos de Miranda 88-72. Luis Montero led the win with 13 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, one steal, followed by Luis Colón with 23 points, 6 rebounds and one assist. While Ar'mond Davis was the best by Diablos with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals and one assist, SPB reports.

For his part, Guaiquerís de Margarita won Gaiteros del Zulia 83-74. Juan Guerrero led the win with 23 points, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks and one assist, followed by Pedro Chourio with 15 points (5 of 6 in three-pointers), 6 assists, 5 rebounds and one steal. While Nahziah Carter stood out for Gaiteros with 23 points, 9 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals.

In Luis Ramos, Marinos de Anzoátegui added his second win in a row by defeating Spartans Capital District 69-60. Malik Dime led the battleship with 16 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks, accompanied by Gregory Vargas with another 16 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and one steal. For Spartans Juan Suero had 24 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.

At the Valencia Forum, Trotamundos de Carabobo deployed a great offensive in the second half and defeated Pioneros del Ávila 92-74. James Reese V led the express with 39 points (6 of 10 in three-pointers), 4 rebounds, an assist and a steal, followed by Donta Smith with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals. Eddie Jarrel was the best for Pioneers with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.

At Pedro Elías Belisario Aponte, Piratas de La Guaira came from behind and with a great contribution from his bench he defeated Brillantes del Zulia 90-95. John Hugley (16 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal), Enderson Alcalá (17 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal) and Yeison Colomé (16 points, 6 assists, 2 rebounds, 2 steals), led the coastal victory. While Myke Henry was the best for Brillantes with 26 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and one steal.

In José Joaquín “Papa” Carrillo, Centauros de Bolívar defeated Panteras de Miranda 62-78. Gil Atencio led the victory with 20 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 blocks and one steal, accompanied by Luis Martínez with 21 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, one steal and one block. For Panthers, Tae Williams had 11 points, 3 rebounds, one assist and one steal.
