Pivot Jonathan Araujo will reinforce Gladiators of Anzoátegui

The Anzoátegui Gladiators team announced Dominican center Jonathan Araujo as the team's new reinforcement to face the second window of the Basketball Champions League Americas.

The 26-year-old center, 2.11 meters tall, comes from playing in the last two seasons of the SPB with Centauros de Portuguesa. In 2023, he averaged 12.3 points, 11.6 rebounds (league leader), 1.7 assists, 1.6 blocks (third in the league) and 1.0 steals in the regular round.

The specialized press reports that after the elimination of Centauros in the first round of the playoffs, he reinforced the Broncos de Caracas in the quarterfinals. With the capital's team, he averaged 8.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.8 blocks in five games.
