Plan Cayapa Heroica recovers essential medical equipment in Chabasquén after heavy rainfall

In response to the emergency registered at the end of June, when intense rainfall caused rivers and streams to overflow in Chabasquén, Unda municipality of the Portuguese state, the Cayapa Heroica National Plan was immediately deployed to strengthen the operational capacity of local health centers.
In this regard, specialists from the above-mentioned plan began technical diagnostic and repair work in the Type 1 Hospital and in the Comprehensive Diagnostic Center (CDI) of the population, essential infrastructures that were impacted by the storm.
The work, according to a press release, focused on the areas of imaging and neonatal care. Thanks to the skill of the brigade members, progress was made in the operation of X-ray equipment and a Melix incubator, ensuring the continuity of medical services for patients.
Over the next few days, the technical team plans to expand its recovery efforts to a centrifuge, sterilization equipment and additional incubator units, in order to reinforce the hospital's surgical and laboratory response capacity, providing greater healthcare security to the community.
