With the objective of guaranteeing access to marine protein and strengthening the culture of fish consumption during the next celebration of Major Week, the “Venezuela Eats + Fish” Plan was activated in several states of the country.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, nine sales outlets were established in the city of Caracas, located near the capital's churches.

This initiative seeks to ensure sovereign supply and offer healthy alternatives at fair prices, allowing the people of Caracas to prepare in advance for religious festivities.

This operation also reached the municipality of La Cañada de Urdaneta in the state of Zulia, specifically the parish of La Concepción, where more than 11 communal councils benefit.

In this regard, the spokeswoman for the region's “Weaving Networks” program, Marielys Cordero, stressed that this day offers a variety of fish, including shrimp, crab, curvina, carite and chucho mojito, to ensure that the protein reaches the consumer directly from the producer.

This type of operation will continue to expand in the national territory ahead of Holy Week, as part of the commitment of the national Government to work closely with fishermen, aquaculturists, aquaculturists and caravans to guarantee food sovereignty and security.
