PNB seizes cargo of more than 156 pieces of war and 6,000 munitions in Caracas

The sectoral vice-president for Public Security and Peace, AJ Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, reported this Saturday that officials of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) seized a shipment of 156 pieces of weapons of war and more than 6,000 ammunition of different calibers in Caracas, as part of the actions carried out by the Bolivarian Government to restore peace in the country.

“With the work of our public security officials, a significant shipment of firearms has been seized that would be used to generate violent actions against the people,” said Ceballos Ichaso, quoted in a press release from the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace.

During the procedure, 156 parts and pieces of war weapons, 6,221 ammunition of different calibers, a riot helmet, a laptop and two ballistic protection vests were seized.

Ceballos stressed that, in perfect civic-military-police union, they are counteracting all the pretensions and attempts of a coup against the constitutional president Nicolás Maduro Moros and that intelligence work is continuing to guarantee the peace of the Venezuelan people.
