This Wednesday, Pope Francis described the situation in Lebanon as unacceptable because of the Israeli bombings and called on the international community to do everything possible to put an end to the clashes between the resistance movement Hezbollah and Israel.
“I am saddened by the news coming from Lebanon, where in recent days intense bombings have caused numerous victims and destruction. I hope that the international community will do everything possible to stop this terrible escalation. It's unacceptable,” said the Vatican's first official.
The leader of the Catholic Church urged us to pray for all peoples suffering because of war and armed clashes such as Ukraine, Myanmar, Palestine, Sudan and all the martyred peoples.
The continuous Israeli attacks against Lebanon have left more than 550 dead and thousands injured, in addition to the thousands of people displaced by the bombings in the south and east of the country.
