This Monday, Pope Francis delivered his Christmas message from the Central Lodge of St. Peter's Basilica where he called for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
In this regard, he called for peace to come to Israel and Palestine, “where war shakes the lives of these populations.”
Peter's Successor emphasized that saying “yes” to the Prince of Peace (Child Jesus) means saying “no” to war, to every war, to the very logic of war, a journey without goals, a defeat without winners, a madness without excuses.
According to what was published on the TELESUR web portal, the authority of the Catholic Church advocated that “a solution be found to the Palestinian question through sincere and persevering dialogue, supported by strong political will and with the support of the international community”.
