During an interview with Italian television, Pope Francis described as shameful the migration measures that Donald Trump intends to take after taking power.
“If it's true, it'll be a shame, because it makes the poor wretches who have nothing foot the bill. That's not done! That's not the way to work things out. That's not how things work out,” he emphasized.
In this regard, he called on the United States to work to build a more just society for those in need.
Almost ten years ago, after celebrating mass along the border, Francisco called Trump “not a Christian” because of the announcement of the construction of a wall between the United States and Mexico, reports the Sputnik news agency.
Donald Trump has promised to implement a series of drastic measures in his second term, including mass deportations of undocumented immigrants. During his campaign, Trump said he would deport millions of undocumented immigrants, and now that he has regained power, he seems determined to keep that promise.
