The Holy See press office released this Sunday an image of the Pontiff in prayer, after concelebrating the Eucharist this morning, in the chapel of the Gemelli Polyclinic.
This is the first photograph since the hospitalization on February 14 of Pope Francis, whose conditions remain stable, and he continues with respiratory and motor therapy and physiotherapy. The most recent reports indicate that Pope Francis has shown gradual improvements thanks to the treatment he is undergoing at the Agostino Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome, Italy.
In the medical bulletin published by Vatican News, it was indicated that “the Holy Father's clinical conditions remain stable, confirming the progress shown in the last week”.
In addition, it was specified that high-flow oxygen therapy continues, gradually reducing the need for non-invasive mechanical ventilation at night and that the supreme pontiff still requires hospital medical therapy, motor and respiratory physiotherapy.
The supreme pontiff has been admitted to the health center since February 14 for bilateral pneumonia and other respiratory problems.
