Portuguesa and Cojedes received sports equipment kits for the National Student Games

As part of the municipal phase of the 20th edition of the National Student Sports Games 2026, the states Portuguesa and Cojedes received kits of sports equipment to strengthen the development of the parish and municipal phase of these regions.

In Portuguesa, the provision was carried out at the facilities of the Dr. César Lizardo Educational Complex, intended for educational institutions in the 14 municipalities of the state, with the purpose of ensuring that they have the necessary resources to compete in the municipal, regional and national phases.

The general director of the promotion of student sports at the Ministry of Sports, Alejandro Herrera, stressed that they are deploying at the national level to monitor the development of these phases.

“At this parish and municipal stage, we have distributed more than 3,600 kits of sports equipment, with the aspiration that at least 750,000 boys and girls classified in the different disciplines that will take place in the states of Zulia, Falcón and Trujillo from July 12 to 26,” he added.

In Cojedes, the delivery of sports equipment demonstrated the joint efforts of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Sports and the governorates, so that each athlete has the necessary resources to achieve their expectations in this sporting event.

The president of the Cojedes Sports Institute, Guillermo Abreu, said that these fundamental stages are being carried out successfully throughout the country, so that our boys and girls receive this material to strengthen and continue the sports work we have been doing.

The delivery of these kits consolidates the student competitive system, providing teachers and students with the necessary tools to raise the technical level of the representatives of each educational establishment for the national phase.
