Portuguesa to show agro-tourism potential during Sunflower Fair 2026

For the second consecutive year, the Portuguese state is preparing to celebrate the Sunflower Fair, which will showcase the region's productive wealth, in addition to offering a comprehensive experience that encompasses recreational, gastronomic and technical areas.

The event, organized by the Civil Family Agricultural Association of Venezuela (AFAVEN), will be held from January 9 to 11, 2026 in the municipality of Santa Rosalía, the territory that, together with Turén, is home to sunflower fields and to date receives thousands of visitors who come to enjoy and admire the beautiful yellow fields.

During the fair, which will also feature the fusion of Venezuelan and Italian cuisine, more than 20 companies and exhibitors are expected to participate and more than 10,000 people will visit in three days.

The organizers of the event emphasize that the production and agro-tourism potential of the area must be an engine of development in the region, and this fair is the ideal showcase to promote it, according to a press release.
