President announces increase in comprehensive minimum income to 160 indexed dollars

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced that starting this May 1st, the comprehensive minimum income of the country's workers will be 160 indexed dollars.

He specified that the Economic War Income (former Economic War Bonus) rises from 90 dollars to 120 dollars and the so-called Ticket Basket will remain at 40 dollars.

“I ratify by decree everything that has to do with income policy and maintain the indexation of workers in their basic income,” he emphasized.
