This Monday, January 5, the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, argued that the United States does not intervene in sovereign countries in the name of democracy or stability; these are only excuses that they use to justify their criminal intervention.”

In his account on the social network Telegram, he asserted that “their real objective is to plunder and subdue populations. Venezuela will not be a vassal country nor will it become another imperialist experiment.”

“On behalf of the Bolivarian Government, we reaffirm the words of the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, in defense of the sovereignty and peace of Venezuela and of all our peoples,” he emphasized.

This was stated by Gil when referring to the statement of the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, from the National Palace, where she said that “the history of Latin America is clear and convincing, intervention has never brought democracy”, referring to Donald Trump's attack on Venezuela and the capture of President Nicolás Maduro and the First Lady, Cilia Flores.
