President Díaz-Canel called for the elimination of hunger and malnutrition from FAO

This Tuesday, the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, participated in the World Food Forum, with the purpose of persuading the importance of eliminating hunger and malnutrition.
Díaz-Canel said that, in the context of 80 years of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), he recognizes its work with Cuba to achieve better production, nutrition and a better life, “without leaving anyone behind,” details Prensa Latina at the meeting of the Cuban presidency.
“We are especially inspired to participate in the Forum, considering that its three pillars: youth, science and innovation, and investment, aim to accelerate the transformation of agri-food systems to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, a commitment that we share,” said the president.
The dignitary stressed that "Cuba has made its capacities and experience available to South-South cooperation to support other developing countries, exchanging knowledge and learning with other nations.”
