The Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel, stressed that reinstating the fraudulent designation of Cuba as a state sponsor of terrorism is an act of arrogance and contempt for the truth, on the part of the President of the United States, Donald Trump.

This was emphasized by Díaz-Canel, in his account on the social network X, when referring to the executive order signed this Monday, January 20, by Trump, which revokes the order just six days ago of his predecessor, Joe Biden, who excluded Cuba from the unilateral list of countries sponsoring terrorism.

In his message, he stated that such action “is not surprising. Its objective is to continue strengthening the cruel economic war against Cuba for purposes of domination.”

“The result of the extreme measures of economic encirclement imposed by Trump has been to cause shortages in our people and a significant increase in the migratory flow from # Cuba to the United States,” he stressed.

President Díaz-Canel also asserted that “this act of mockery and abuse confirms the discrediting of the lists and unilateral mechanisms of coercion of the United States government.”

“The legitimate and noble cause of our people will prevail, which will once again triumph,” he stressed.
