The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, led this Tuesday the ceremony to award recognition of student merit Antonio José de Sucre to more than 400 high school graduates with the best academic average in the country.
“A hug to you who are graduating today with the highest excellence that a student can have. Before precisely choosing which career they are going to pursue, which will mark the rest of their lives. It is sometimes a time of uncertainties, of doubts, of knowing if the choice is the right one, but I am sure that you, the 439 students who graduated with 20 this year, will be right along the way,” said the president in charge.
In this regard, he congratulated the families and representatives of the new high school graduates, “because behind a boy or girl with excellent academic performance there is a supporting family, there is a teacher accompanying them. I congratulate them, because that is the role that teachers play,” he stressed.
Rodríguez instructed the Minister of Popular Power for University Education, Ana María San Juan, to guarantee the choice of careers, and that “they are guaranteed a scholarship so that they can support their study time, guarantee social care for their families and give them tools such as tablets.”
