The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, recognized this Tuesday the support provided by the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) in the face of the seismic events recorded in the nation on June 24.

From the GNB Command, in El Paraíso, the president in charge highlighted the presence of officials of that institution to help save lives, pointing out that their functions have not ceased, since they have also been deployed to temporary camps to continue their work.

“I have always had words of thanks, of recognition, of honoring them for the support they have given to the Venezuelan people in these terrible moments of the tragedy caused by the double earthquake, which meant nuclear bombs that fell on, mainly, the state of La Guaira and seven other states that were affected and impacted,” he said.

There has been the Bolivarian National Guard, our Bolivarian National Armed Force, with their boots full of dirt there, helping people, to save lives. Here we are seeing the People's Guard, with the canine search unit, the rescue unit.

He stressed that the GNB is still in temporary camps, serving people. “The work isn't done. As I have told the international media, that some of them turned off their cameras and left, we are still working here with the People, helping the Venezuelan people (...) providing them with comprehensive support, food, health, logistical protection, recreation,” he said.
