The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, led a working group in the Sol del Perú room to activate the “Health and Life 2026" Plan.

During the meeting, he announced that every dollar earned by the oil and gas industry will be allocated to the health sector, allowing the equipment and immediate inauguration of 75 new hospitals across the country.

As the central axis of the strategy, the president instructed to establish agreements with the private sector to use its capacity and address, in a cohesive manner, the national surgical debt. This public-private partnership seeks to maximize operational efficiency to ensure timely and free interventions for the Venezuelan people.

The conference included the technical participation of the Minister of Popular Power for the Office of the Presidency and Monitoring of Government Management, Juan Escalona; the sectorial vice-president of Science, Technology, Education and Health, Gabriela Jiménez; the Minister of Popular Power for Health, Magaly Gutiérrez; the Minister of the People's Power of Economy and Finance, Anabel Pereira; and the president of the Venezuelan Corporation for Foreign Trade (Corpovex), Ligia Gorriño.

With this deployment, the Bolivarian Government ratifies its roadmap for 2026, focused on the modernization of health infrastructure and social protection. Under the coordination of the Ministries of the Presidency, Finance and Health, human welfare and free care are prioritized over any commercial interest.
