President in charge Delcy Rodríguez: Teachers are the axis of the Fatherland, true heroes and heroines

The president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, affirmed that teachers are the axis of the Fatherland, true heroes and heroines who, despite the circumstances, of the conjuncture, build ethics to shape the future of the country.

Through audiovisual material published on his Telegram channel, Rodríguez said that his father was a young teacher, who studied at the “Gervasio Rubio” Normal School, a historic educational institution in Venezuela dedicated to the training of rural teachers, located in the state of Táchira.

“He was a 34-year-old young teacher who put his chest in defense of this Venezuela and set an example in all of us,” he said.

He also stressed that his mother was also a teacher, she became a widow at a very young age, with three children and decided to study and specialize in special education at the Pedagogical School of Caracas, because that way she could access a premium that would allow her to raise her three children alone.

“That sacrifice of two teachers sowed our commitment to an independent, free, sovereign Venezuela, free of colonial chains that would oppress and suffocate our country,” he added.
