The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted national production during a visit to Comuna 4F in Sucre parish, Miranda state.
He highlighted that animal protein production has increased by 10%, with advances in sectors such as chicken, egg, pork, beef and buffalo meat. He emphasized that Venezuela has the largest buffalo hut in the hemisphere and the third largest in the world, a resource that must be used to support the popular food plan.
Rodríguez emphasized that social participation in communities is not a simple assistance, but an action organized by the Communes. “Here are the results of the productive union between agribusiness, peasants, fishermen, communes and entrepreneurs, all added together to guarantee the full supply that we have today in Venezuela,” he said.
The president in charge also emphasized the need to guarantee fair prices in the markets and announced the presentation to Parliament of a bill on the negotiated price system, with the objective of protecting the socio-economic rights of the population. “We are not going to allow speculation, we follow President Nicolás Maduro's guidance to promote communal production together with entrepreneurs and agribusiness from the regions,” he said.
Rodríguez reiterated that the Caribbean must be a land of peace and condemned the aggression of January 3, 2016 against the Venezuelan people, calling it a stain on relations between the United States and Venezuela.
