President in Charge led a meeting with the Agrifood General Staff

This Tuesday, January 06, the president in
charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, held a meeting with the commission
of the Agrifood, Fisheries, Communal and Industrial General Staff, with the objective
of comprehensively evaluating the planting cycle and the nation's food security.
During the meeting, the current
status of seeds, harvest levels and food
distribution mechanisms throughout the territory were reviewed, according to a Venezuelan
Television report.
He also monitored productive
balances in detail, ensuring that the cog between the field and the table
of Venezuelans works efficiently.
The creation of the
Agrifood, Fisheries, Communal and Industrial General Staff was announced during Council
of Ministers No. 757, in which it was emphasized that it seeks to “guarantee and
strengthen food sovereignty and supply projects” in the face of
recent political tensions and external pressures, Presidential Press reports.
Among the members of this economic and productive work team, which is active as of today, are: Calixto Ortega, Sectorial Vice President of Economy, who heads the Commission; Anabel Pereira, Minister of the People's Power of Economy and Finance; Juan Carlos Loyo, Minister of the Popular Power of Fisheries and Aquaculture; Carlos Leal Tellería, Minister of Popular Power for Food; Julio León Heredia, Minister of Popular Power for the Productive Agriculture and Lands; Luis Villegas, Minister of Popular Power for National Trade; Alex Saab, Minister of Industries and National Production; and Ángel Prado, Minister of Popular Power for Communes, Social Movements and Urban Agriculture.
