The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, led this Monday, January 26, a meeting on the discussion on the Public Consultation of the Partial Reform of the Organic Hydrocarbons Law, whose purpose is to optimize the exploitation of resources under principles of energy sovereignty.
Sectors and companies linked to the country's oil sector participated in the meeting.
One of the central objectives of this legal instrument is to promote the increase in oil production and adapt the legal framework to current conditions, ensuring that crude oil, as a strategic resource, is extracted for the benefit of all Venezuelans.
He stressed that this mechanism made it possible, in the year 2025, to achieve a production of 1.2 million barrels per day and attract investments close to 900 million dollars, as reported by the President in Charge a few days ago.
In his speech, he recalled that oil and gas exploitation is contemplated in the Anti-Blockade Law, which “emerged from our reality as an illegally and illegitimately blocked country.”
