This Thursday, January 08, the President in Charge, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that she issued instructions for the creation of a Commission for the families and victims of heroes, heroines and martyrs who died last Saturday, January 03, due to the military aggression of North American imperialism.

“You are not alone, Venezuela is with you. They are not alone, we will continue to accompany them in their steps,” he said at the Eclectic Monument of the Military Academy of the Bolivarian National Guard (AMGNB), in Caracas, where he led an event of Promotions and Decorations for Fallen Heroes and Martyrs in defense of the Fatherland.

He said that “I saw in the mothers' faces and the face of a woman, my mother, when my father was murdered. On the faces of the wives of the fallen, I saw the face of my mother who also lost a husband.”

“On the faces of the girls and boys who lost their parents, I saw the faces of Jorge (his brother) and mine, when we were children we also lost our vilely murdered father,” he emphasized.

The president in charge said that “I tell you that these wounds will accompany us forever, but we must know that the loved ones we have lost died for a just, noble cause called: Venezuela, its independence and freedom, cannot but inspire us to become good Venezuelans to build a future and bequeath them to our children.”

“Take the knowledge that all of Venezuela has rejected this vulgar violation of our sovereignty, our sky and our territory,” he said.

He said that “rest assured that Venezuela is also with you on this journey, and that is why we have decided to build a monument in honor of our heroes, heroines and martyrs. Honor and glory to the men and women who died in combat.”
