The interim president, Delcy Rodríguez, denounced that Venezuela is facing an offensive after the attack against the country.
“We are facing an aggression of a wild and criminal nature,” he said during a videoconference with the communication sector.
He indicated that Venezuela is facing an asymmetric confrontation with a nuclear power, but he affirmed that the people remain firm in their determination. “We are in a moment of victorious resistance,” he said, calling for the reinforcement of internal cohesion.
Rodríguez reiterated the objectives that guide political leadership: to preserve peace; to carry out the rescue of President Nicolás Maduro and the first combatant Cilia Flores.
He warned that division would be “the enemy's great victory” and called for trust in political leadership. “We have a moral and historical superiority that inspires us to resistance,” he stressed, reiterating that unity around the Bolivarian project is the axis for facing the conjuncture.
