President Nicolás Maduro commemorated the 54th anniversary
of the inauguration of Commander Hugo Chávez as a cadet of the Army Military Academy.
“54 years have passed since our
beloved and eternal commander Hugo Chávez received his dagger and was invested as a
cadet in the Army Military Academy. In those corridors, the cradle of the Bolivarian
Revolution, the spirit of Bolivar was resurrected. Along with a generation
of patriots, he taught us to love, admire and value men and women in
uniform,” said the Head of State through his Telegram channel.
President Maduro recalled that Commander
Chávez left a supreme order that today lives on in the youth of our FANB:
“Never stop being cadets, always carry inside you the cadet you were. The
cadet is the most precious symbol, he holds in his chest the most sublime love, the greatest
hope... the purity of youth”.
Maduro emphasized that Commander Chávez always
defined himself as a cadet and a soldier. “From that boy who passed through those
classrooms as a student, teacher and leader, the sacred flame originally from
Miranda, Bolivar, Sucre and Zamora was recovered,” he said
“The glorious MBR-200 rescued and dignified the
people's love for their soldiers. Commander of loyalty, hope and the
future, your example as a cadet will accompany us forever!” , he said.
