The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, pledged this Thursday to guarantee the construction of three million additional homes for the People, a goal he intends to achieve by 2030.
After delivering the 5 million milestone through the Great Venezuela Housing Mission (GMVV), in Lara state, the Head of State said that “there are still a lot of people in need.”
In this regard, he indicated that “in the Plan for the Homeland of the Seven Transformations (Q7) I have a key point there and I am setting myself a new goal, we have reached 5 million, right? But I think we need at least 3 million more between now and 2030.”
He stressed that this goal can be guaranteed “by self-construction with communities (...) I commit to building the three million homes by 2030 I did not fail you, I will not fail you, for you wife, for you and your family, for your grandmother, for you boy, girl, for you working man”.
The Dignitary emphasized that the houses built by the Bolivarian Government “are not for surnames, they are not for oligarchy, they are not a commodity (...) they are a social right, a human right, a constitutional right”.
