President Maduro announces creation of the National Fund for Golden Dreams

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced the creation of the National Fund for Golden Dreams to provide funding for the country's grandparents and grandmothers.

The announcement was made by the Head of State during the Working Day with the Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland, as part of the Plan More Years, More Love, where he explained that this fund will have 5 million dollars to provide funding.

“The delivery of these credits will allow grandparents to have their business. It's the best thing we can invest in, so that the social economy is a powerful engine,” said Maduro.

He also said that democratizing credit is called beautiful socialism. “Democratize credit so that it reaches those who work and those who need it,” he added.

Maduro argued that this measure is the complete opposite of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and savage capitalism.
