During the Balance of the Grassroots Assemblies on the way to the Constituent Congress of the Working Class, held in the city of Caracas, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, announced that the first export of gas from Venezuela to Colombia is “ready”.

“The gas is already at the border to pass to Colombia. Some technical economic elements are missing and that's it, the gas passes, the first shipment of gas and from there we are not going to stop because Colombia and Venezuela have to be united,” he said.

He added that the Peoples of Venezuela and Colombia “are increasingly united in an increasingly integrated, more prosperous economy, with growing trade with growing binational investments.”

He added that these nations are twinned in the idea of Bolívar, father of Gran Colombia, in which his relationship “mutual respect between governments and peoples” prevails.

Venezuela and Colombia must be united as Peoples. We have 6 million Colombians here, and as sister nations, we deserve to never be disturbed by imperial intrigue, imperial lies, and divisive, greedy and ambitious lies of the Colombian drug trafficking oligarchies that conspire against Venezuela and against the union,” he said.
