President Maduro appoints Hector Silva as minister for mining and president of MINERVEN

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, appointed Héctor Silva as Minister of Popular Power for Mining and president of MINERVEN.

“I announce the appointment of the current president of the CVG as minister and president of MINERVEN to take charge of the integral development of this region,” he reported on Monday night, June 17, from the Con Maduro+ program.

For his part, the new minister said: “We are not going to disappoint him! The most important thing is to do the mining without damaging nature. I am grateful and together we will do the tireless task of positioning our minerals and products in the international market, demonstrating that we have the best minerals, the best working class and the best President.”
